VPNGD Setup Guide
Create an account, get your subscription, import it into a client, and check that the connection works. If you already have an account or have completed payment, jump straight to the relevant step.
Create an account and save your login details
Open the VPNGD account creation page and follow the prompts to choose a username and password. No email address is required; you will use these credentials to sign in to the panel. Choose a username you can remember. Consider using a password manager to generate and save a unique password. Before submitting, check your input method and capitalization, and make sure no spaces were added when copying and pasting.
Once you have created the account, open the account overview and confirm it shows the account you just created. If you are still on the sign-in page, use your saved username and password to log in. Do not create another account just because the overview did not open automatically. Creating an account does not activate a paid plan. Check your plan status in the panel to see whether you have data available and can access client downloads.
Bookmark the user panel and save your login details somewhere you can find them. To use VPNGD on another device, sign in to the same account; there is no need to create a separate account for each device. VPNGD supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but check your current plan for data limits. The number of devices and your data allowance are separate.
When you finish this section, you should be able to open the account overview and find the plan, subscription, and order options. If you already have an account, sign in to it and continue. For login issues, start with the Help Center. Never share your password in a public comment or screenshot.
Choose a plan and confirm your payment
Open the plans page in the user panel and decide whether a monthly subscription or a data package suits you. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use and provide a set data allowance each month: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly from the activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days.
For more occasional use, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data is available until used and never expires. Before choosing, consider whether you mainly browse the web, work remotely, or stream video for extended periods, then decide which allowance fits. Monthly subscriptions and data packages are billed differently, so the price alone is not enough to compare them. See the pricing page for full pricing and billing details.
After choosing a plan in the panel, check the plan name, amount, and data allowance on the order before paying. VPNGD accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT; follow the instructions on the checkout page. Do not repeatedly create the same order while a payment is processing. If you have paid but the page has not updated, return to the original order and check its status before taking further action.
Return to the account overview and check that your selected plan and data allowance are shown. A completed payment and a working client connection are separate checkpoints: confirm the plan status in the panel before importing your subscription. If the details do not match, keep your order information and contact support through a panel ticket. Cover personal information on payment records before sharing them. VPNGD offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund; see the Terms of Service for how to request one.
Get your subscription from the account overview
Once your plan is active, open the account overview and look for the subscription or import option. A subscription lets your client retrieve server configuration. Payment activates the service on your account; the client still needs the subscription to get its configuration. Installing a client or staying signed in to the website will not complete this step automatically.
First, check whether the panel offers an import option for your client. If the client is installed, click Import. Your browser may ask permission to open the app; confirm that it is the correct app, then check that the configuration was saved in the client. If the app does not open automatically, copy the link manually and paste it into an option such as “Import from link” or “Add subscription.”
When copying manually, use the complete subscription link from the panel—not the panel URL in your browser’s address bar or just part of the link. After pasting, check that both ends are intact and remove any spaces or line breaks added by mistake. The link may contain account-specific credentials, so protect it like a password. Do not share it in group chats, public documents, or screenshots, and never paste it into an online conversion tool from an untrusted source.
After importing, the client should show a new configuration name and a list of servers under that configuration. If it saves the name but does not load any servers, try the update option next to the configuration and check that you copied the right content. There is no need to pay again or create another account. If the servers still do not load, see the Help Center guide to subscription import issues. Cover the full subscription link before sharing a screenshot.
Install and import the client on each platform
Open the client downloads section in the panel and select the instructions for your operating system and VPNGD client. You must be signed in to get a subscription; download eligibility is shown in the panel. This page does not provide public download links. If you already have a client installed, check the panel’s compatibility notes before importing your subscription.
The sections below explain where to find common options on each platform. A “configuration-based client” is an app that loads servers from a subscription, lets you switch configurations, and starts a proxy or VPN connection—not a browser extension. Menu labels may vary, but the steps are the same: add a configuration, update the subscription, enable the configuration, choose a server, and connect.
Windows: Configuration and system proxy
Select the Windows desktop client in the panel, follow the installation instructions, and open the app. Look for “Configuration” or “Subscription” in the sidebar or settings. Choose the option to add via link, paste the subscription copied from the account overview, and save it. Return to the configuration list, update it, and select the configuration you just imported. Once the server list appears, open the server selection screen.
For your first connection, start with the default settings recommended in the panel. If the client has a “System Proxy” switch, you will usually need to enable it after connecting for your browser to use the proxy. Some apps do not use the system proxy settings. If the client offers virtual network adapter mode, follow the panel’s guidance and your specific needs to decide whether to enable it. Avoid changing multiple settings at once during initial setup. When you are done, jump to Check the connection on this page.
macOS: Import a configuration and grant permissions
Get the macOS desktop client from the panel, then install and open it as instructed. Find configuration management in the main window or menu bar, then choose Add Subscription or Import from Link. After importing, confirm that the configuration is selected and update the server list. If the app only appears in the menu bar, it has not necessarily failed to install—click its menu bar icon to open the main window or connection menu.
When connecting, macOS may ask you to allow a network configuration or authorize a helper component. Grant permission only to the client obtained through the panel instructions and whose purpose you understand, then follow the system prompts. If the window closes but the menu bar still shows a connection status, check the status before restarting the app. For connection issues, check permissions and proxy status first; repeatedly reinstalling is not a substitute for troubleshooting.
Android: Subscription management and connection permissions
Select the Android VPN client in the panel, install it, and open the app. In “Configuration,” “Subscription Management,” or a similar menu, choose the option to import via link, paste the full subscription, and save it. Once the update succeeds, select the configuration and choose a server from the list. The first time you connect, Android will show a VPN connection request. Confirm the app name, allow the connection, then return to the client and check its status.
If the connection often drops when the app runs in the background, check the client’s battery settings in Android and allow background activity if your device offers that option. Settings names vary by device, so you do not need to follow menu paths written for a different model. Also check that no other VPN app is connected at the same time to avoid conflicts. For a detailed walkthrough, see Android Client Setup from Scratch.
iOS: Get the app and add a VPN configuration
Check the panel for iOS client instructions and follow the link to the relevant App Store page. Make sure the app is available in your account’s region. iOS installation differs from desktop installation, so do not look for a desktop installer. Once the app is ready, return to the account overview and use the import option for that client. If the app does not open automatically, find Add Subscription or Import from Link in the client, then paste and save the link manually.
The first time you connect, iOS will ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Follow the prompt, grant permission, and return to the client. Select the imported configuration and the server you want, then turn on the connection. Seeing a VPN icon in the system status is not enough to confirm that the site you want works; complete the access checks below. If iOS reports that another network configuration is interfering, check the VPN configuration in use before disabling any other connection.
Linux: Follow the platform instructions in the panel
VPNGD also supports Linux. Open the downloads section in the panel to see the currently available clients and compatibility instructions, then follow the steps for your distribution and client. This guide does not provide a universal installation command because permissions, network components, and configuration locations vary by system. Do not assume desktop-platform instructions will apply. For more on protocols and server selection, read the Guide to Choosing an International VPN Service.
Connect to a server and verify it works
Return to the client and make sure the imported configuration is enabled and its server list has loaded. Choose a server and connect. VPNGD covers 120+ countries and offers 160+ servers; the options available to you depend on your current subscription and panel. You do not need to switch between multiple regions when getting started. Check one server first, then choose another if your target service requires a specific region.
First, open a regular website that you can normally access to confirm your device’s internet connection is working. Then, in the same browser on the same device, open the site you want to use. If it loads, check that sign-in, page navigation, and the features you need work as expected. Loading the homepage does not guarantee that every feature is available; you may still need to meet the service’s account, regional, or subscription requirements.
If regular websites load but your target site does not, first check that the client shows a connection and the configuration updated successfully. Also confirm that the desktop proxy setting or mobile VPN permission is active. Check whether another proxy app is running at the same time. If none of these applies, try another server. Change one setting at a time and note the result to help identify whether the issue is with the server, client settings, or a message from the target site.
If regular websites stop loading after you connect, disconnect the client and check whether your normal internet connection comes back. If it does not, troubleshoot your local network first. If it works again after disconnecting, review the current configuration and connection mode. Do not delete every configuration before you know the cause; keeping the imported subscription makes it easier to compare settings.
After verification, everyday use usually means opening the client, confirming the configuration is active, and connecting to a server. Update the subscription in the client when the server list changes. To use another device, sign in to the panel with the same account, get the subscription again, and follow the steps for that platform. VPNGD supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but keep an eye on your account’s available data so you do not mistake an exhausted allowance for a connection problem.
If you cannot resolve the issue, start with the Help Center’s connection and troubleshooting guide. To contact support, submit a user panel ticket with your operating system, client, selected server, error message, and whether all websites are affected. Include only the part of a screenshot needed for troubleshooting, and hide your password and subscription link. For help understanding server types, billing, and multi-device use, read the VPN buying guide. You do not need to learn every technical detail before your first connection.
